Description: This presentation will be made in three parts. The first will be a brief outline and explanation of NLP concepts relevant to classroom management and activities. The second part will be a practice section where participants can begin to explore their own use of the concepts. Finally, there will be concluding comments by the presenter, and a question and discussion session for the participants.

Description: This month's meeting will see presentations by two chapter members which should be of great interest to all.

  1. Larry Walker will present some ideas about the introduction of phonetics and some activities about using pronunciation which you can photocopy and use the next day.
  2. Gary Clendennen will present the results of a seven-year longitudinal study of TOEIC scores by members of a major Japanese company in Osaka, and discuss the meaning and implications.

Rex is currently teaching creative writing and storytelling at Osaka Gakuin University, and has published, narrated, recorded and mixed numerous storytelling textbooks.
