TOLd You So!

Volume 3, Issue 3 [December, 2007]

Coordinator's Message: Eric Skier

December 3, 2007

Hello everyone,

I hope this newsletter finds you in good spirits. It is December (already!) and while the leaves are changing color and the weather is getting a little chilly, I thought I would share some SIG news with you.

First, we have some changes in our officers. While I will continue as Coordinator, there has been some shuffling and a new name added to our leadership. Robert Baines, who has done a wonderful job over the past year, will be stepping down as Publications Chair and Julia Harper-Tanaka will be taking his place. Thank you, Robert, for all your work for the SIG.. Robert will continue as co-editor of the newsletter, and we look forward to his support for and participation in the SIG in the years to come! Julia is stepping down as treasurer in order to assume the Publications Chair, and Aleda Krause will be our treasurer. For those of you who might not know, Aleda is a wiz with numbers, and we are truly lucky to have her managing the LLL SIGfs finances. As for the other positions, Emi Itoi will stay on as Program Chair, and Yoko Wakui will continue as Membership Chair.

While his position was not officially a chair, our website coordinator, Malcolm Swanson, has stepped down and we are very happy to welcome Lisa Nishiyama as the new SIG webmaster.

As for the content of this final newsletter of 2007, we will have reports from the LLL SIG Forum recently held at the JALT Conference, a call for presentations for the seventh Annual PANSIG Conference, and I will share an idea of mine for a SIG project that may be of interest to SIG members.

Happy holidays

Eric M. Skier
LLL SIG Coordinator
