Description: The proximity of England makes it much easier for Germans, compared with Japanese people, to get thoroughly trained in everyday English. In both countries training in the English language is very different; but this is not a bad thing at all. The speaker will suggest some of the opportunities English offers for making contact between Germans and Japanese more relaxed and personal.

In the first part, Nicolas explains the basic process of conducting Action Research. In the second part participants design, and develop an Action Research concerning education issues relevant for the Yamagata chapter. By the end of this workshop, participants will have experienced the full circle of Action Research and be able to begin conducting their own data collection process
