Description: This presentation will focus on the ever-evolving term of 'communicative' and look at how this ambiguous term has recently taken on a new meaning in terms of language learning. This re-introduction will be followed by a chance for teachers to view the term in relation to what it means to them, how it affects their teaching methodology and subsequently apply the analysis to published texts. We hope it will give you an invaluable opportunity to reflect on this taken-for-granted but rarely discussed concept in language teaching.
