For the SIG's purposes, Global Englishes is taken to include World Englishes, English as a Lingua Franca/Multilingua Franca, English as an International Language, Translanguaging, Multilingualism, Native-speakerism, and related areas.

The GE SIG aims to promote interest and understanding in these areas through events, forums, seminars, presentations, and publications, that empower leaners and educators alike. Feel free to join us!

Please contact us if you'd like to be informed of upcoming events or would like to be involved: http://www.jaltgesig.wordpress.com, or email global-englishes@jalt.org
