JALT2025 Call for Student Volunteers
We are currently recruiting student interns for the upcoming JALT2025 International Conference in Yoyogi, Tokyo. This is a great opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to practice English, meet professionals, and gain experience in an English setting. Interested students can use this form to apply. PDF posters will be available soon on the conference website.
Childcare
Childcare will be available during the conference. Details will be announced soon. We hope that this encourages parents and caregivers to apply to give a presentation or poster at JALT2025.

Reminder about TNT (Technology in Teaching) and PD (Professional Development) workshops
Instead of holding TNT and PD workshops on the Friday of the conference, these workshops will move online, on a different date in the summer (details here). JALT2025 will still be a full 3-day conference; the difference is that we will start with a full day of presentations on Friday, October 31, and finish on Sunday, November 2.

JALT's Technology in Teaching and Professional Development Online Summer Workshops (August 9)
August 9th, 2025 will see the first of our online Summer workshops for Technology in Teaching (TnT) and Professional Development (PD). Come join us as we start a new chapter in JALT programming.
There will be a full day of workshops from expert facilitators. The program will also be highlighted by talks from Clare Kaneko of Niigata University and Jennie Roloff Rothman of Kanda University of International Studeis. Clare will be talking about how she uses technology in her teaching, while Jennie will be discussing professional development in our community.
- Cost: 5,000 yen for JALT members / 7,000 yen for non-JALT members.
- Registration will be open August 1, 2025.
- Presentations will be recorded and may be distributed at a later date.

Living on the Edge (LOTE) V is here! This year's theme is "Shifting Identities" Join us October 4-5th, 2025 at Kyoto Sangyo University. CUE SIG has extended the deadline for the 2025 CUE Conference with BizCom SIG and PGL! The new deadline is August 10th! If you would like to submit a proposal or get more information, please go to: https://events.jalt.org/event/41/.
Any proposal related to tertiary education, business communications, or peace studies (or even SDG ideas) related to language education are desired! The conference will be held at Hitotsubashi University, Kunitachi campus. We're looking forward to your proposal!

- The JALT Mind, Brain, and Education SIG has published The MindBrainEd Journal: Volume 5, July 2025.
