Hello, and welcome to another monthly edition of JALT Talk, the announcements newsletter of the Japan Association for Language Teaching. The big news is that the "early bird" deadline for great discounts on the JALT2022 conference fees is October 31st, so if you haven't pre-registered yet, you have another day to save some money. As someone who has lived in the sunny and vibrant costal city of Fukuoka for decades, I'm looking forward to welcoming you all here November 11-14 for JALT's 48th Annual Confernece on Language Teaching and Learning.

Teachers of younger learners should check out JALT Junior (JJ), a two-day conference (November 12-13) within the main JALT International Conference that offers a unique and specialized professional development experience for teachers who are primarily teaching young learners.
JJ includes presentations, innovative materials, ideas, storytelling, and professional support for teachers of younger learners from ages 2 to 18.
JALT hopes that JJ's reduced conference fee will be attractive to many of our colleagues who teach children in public and private schools. See the JALT2022 registration page for information.
