Early Bird registration rates for the JALT2022 Conference available until October 31st

Early Bird registration rates are available until October 31st. JALT members will save up to 10,000 yen over the regular registration rates, while non-JALT members will save up to 5,000 yen. Registrations after November 1st will be priced at the regular registration rate. (Note that registrants for the face-to-face conference in Fukuoka will also receive access to the online portions of the conference.) See our registration page for full details: https://jalt.org/conference/jalt2022/registration.

Childcare at JALT2022

The JALT 2022 International Conference is a place that welcomes families. Please enjoy the conference with your children; while you are learning and sharing, they will have quality childcare provided by the TENO Support Co., Ltd. and the supervision of professional educators for a reasonable fee. Registration for childcare service is now open to both JALT members and non-members. See our childcare page for full details: https://jalt.org/conference/jalt2022/childcare

Guardian / Caregiver Service at JALT2022

JALT2022 is a family friendly space and all attendees are welcome to bring their children to this event. If you prefer not to use the childcare services mentioned above, you still can bring your children, and you have the option of also bringing a guardian free of change to help you with your children.

Furthermore, a spouse/partner can accompany you without charge regardless of whether or not children attend (provided that this person is not a language educator, and is there solely to accompany the attendee/presenter).

In other words, a guardian or caregiver may accompany you at the JALT2022 conference without charge if you would like to have someone available to:

Please see our Guardian Service page for details: https://jalt.org/conference/jalt2022/guardian-service

Call for JALT2022 Interns

JALT is looking for interns (unpaid) for the 2022 International Conference in Fukuoka City, Fukuoka from Friday, November 11 to Monday, November 14, 2022. If you've attended one of our Annual International Conferences before, you may remember seeing these volunteers helping with registration, the cloak room, presentation timing, and more. If you know university or grad school age students who would like to put their English skills to use, please refer them to our "Call for interns" page, https://jalt.org/conference/jalt2022/call-for-interns.

JALT Junior

Teachers of younger learners should check out JALT Junior (JJ), a two-day conference (November 12-13) within the main JALT International Conference that offers a unique and specialized professional development experience for teachers who are primarily teaching young learners.

JJ includes presentations, innovative materials, ideas, storytelling, and professional support for teachers of younger learners from ages 2 to 18.

JALT hopes that JJ's reduced conference fee will be attractive to many of our colleagues who teach children in public and private schools. See the JALT2022 registration page for information.

JALT2022 Technology in Teaching and Professional Development Workshops Schedule Available

All Technology in Teaching (TnT) and Professional Development (PD) Workshops will be held on Friday Nov 11, between 1:30-8:15 PM. See the full lineup here, https://jalt.org/conference/jalt2022/tnt-pd-workshops.

The aim of the JALT Pre-Conference Technology in Teaching (TnT) Workshops is to help teachers navigate their way through the exciting array of educational technologies available, select those that are for their teaching context, and learn how to  effectively make use of them in the classroom. The TnT  presenters, all experts in technology, will offer guidance on using technology and share ways to best integrate technology with language teaching practices. Similarly, the JALT Pre-Conference Professional Development Workshops provide teachers with opportunities to enhance their careers and their practice in a hands-on, practical environment.
