10th Annual ER Seminar

10th Annual ER Seminar

The 10th Annual Extensive Reading Seminar has concluded. The numbers of participants exceeded our expectations and everyone there helped to contribute to make it a very worthwhile, fun and inspiring seminar.

Everyone there deserves a mention, especially the many outstanding presenters whose research and work in extensive reading and listening is helping to promote these two areas across Japan and beyond.

We would like to give a special thanks to several people, especially Daniel James, our Site Chair, whose unflagging work helped carry the event through to a successful conclusion.

All those in the Hiroshima Chapter of JALT and in particular Naomi Fujishima, who organised the publishers, helping with the set-up and so many other areas. Similarly, Simon Capper, Katherine Song, Tim Wilson, Joe Lauer and Dan Hougham for checking and rechecking all the details.

Caroline Lloyd, Emi Sugita and the rest of the staff at the Hiroshima YMCA were extremely helpful.

Thanks also to the publishers who travelled down to Hiroshima to give us their support.

If we have forgotten anyone, please accept our heartfelt, ‘Thank you’s.
